Pruning an apple tree

theres so many lovely memories i have with colleen firstly she was so caring but theres 1 she asked me to prune her apple trees for her i was honest and said i never pruned an apple tree but i know a man that can teach me .so next week i pruned the main apple tree very worried if i was doing correctly . When i was done i asked colleen is this ok she said karen its perfect you can throw a bowler hat through the center of the tree her father had taught her this so you get plenty of air and sunlight ..so i look at all apple trees when iv pruned them and think of colleen and the bowler hat ..i miss you so much luv karen

Remembering Colleen with great affection. She was involved in so many ways in the congregation at St Mary’s including the Events’ Committee. Her warmth, enthusiasm and positivity shone through. A memory that makes me smile – Colleen was helping with refreshments for a “Come & Sing” event at St Mary’s. One of the visiting singers commented “it is so kind of you villagers to provide refreshments.” This greatly amused Colleen!
